Striper time!
There are stripers across the coast now. Manchester harbor has had some decent fish along with big Atlantic herring. Gloucester has the same thing. Both the herring and bass are chasing very small (2-3") juvenile herring. So far it has been difficult fishing bass when they are eating the small stuff since they are going for mouthfuls, not singling out individuals. The feed was best 1 hour before and after high tide in very shallow water (4-5 ft). I will report back tomorrow after I try out some sweet glass minnow patterns I tied today.
